Chamber Music for the Climate
March 25, 2023 4:00 p.m.
St. Katharinen, Braunschweig
Benefit concert for the "Urwald Project" in Braunschweig-Hondelage in cooperation with the parish of St. Katharinen
The letters of Johannes Brahms clearly indicate that he had an intimate relationship with nature; he had his most productive times while on vacation in the country. In this concert, musicians from the Braunschweig State Orchestra enchant their audience with his wonderful piano quartet in G minor and the Trio Élégiaque by Sergej Rachmaninoff while opening the senses to the fascinating nature of the forest.
The protection of nature and the climate is close to the heart of the musicians of the orchestra, who, as founding members of "Orchester des Wandels e.V." have been committed to benefit concerts now for 3 years.
Between the musical performances Bernd Hoppe-Dominik, the initiator of the Förderkreis Umwelt und Naturschutz e.V., will provide information about the biodiversity of the forest supported through the "Primeval forest" project of the Braunschweig-Hondelage association, an exciting project in the immediate vicinity of Braunschweig, which can be visited at any time on site.
