The Butterfly and the Resurrection

As a cooperation partner of the Sinfonieorchester Wuppertal and Orchester des Wandels e. V. the insect specialists from the Wuppertal Natural Science Association joined the musicians for the 3rd symphony concert, providing information about insect-friendly gardening, suitable insect hotels and their scientific research, which goes back to an impressive history going back to the founding of the club by Johann Carl Fuhlrott in 1846. In context of Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 2, titled "Resurrection Symphony", we took a closer look at the world of insects, especially the butterfly as a symbol of the resurrection.
