Lehmbruck Museum, Duisburg
Family Concert
The great old trees in the forest hold an exciting secret. Musical instruments are made from the trunks and branches of maple, spruce and pine - but also from the wood of trees from distant lands. A whole forest of music will be heard in the concert. The Duisburger Philharmoniker will discuss the trees that provide wood for their instruments and how important it is to protect them so that the forest remains a habitat for animals and plants. After the concert, an instrument maker will present his work, and guests young and old can try out string instruments for themselves.
