Chamber Music with Ocean View

April 14, 2025 7:30 p.m.
Staatstheater Kassel, Opera Foyer

Join us as we dive into the depths of the ocean as part of our climate concert in the Kassel State Theater's chamber music series. With the help of exciting keynote speeches and striking images Dr. Judith Hauck (Alfred Wegner Institute, BioGeosciences Section) will explore the role the oceans play in our climate system with regard to CO2 and thermal heat storage. Musically, we'll bring the journey into the depths to life with rippling, rushing, and undulating works by Debussy, Ligeti, Ravel, and Telemann.

Performers:

Julia Schleicher & Helmut Simon, violin
Antje Schmidt & Skerza Singer, viola
Sven Mühleck, cello
Kerstin Lück-Matern, double bass
Martha Flamm, flute
Ute Liebich, oboe
Inga Meyer, clarinet
