Tanja Tetzlaff, musicial ambassador of OdW

A warm welcome to Tanja Tetzlaff, one of Germany's most celebrated cellists, as our new ambassador of Orchester des Wandels e.V.

"To be the new ambassador of Orchester des Wandels fills me with pride and hope. Through our presence on stage and in the minds of our audiences we have possibilities to arise awareness of the huge and devastating topic of climate change: we can wake people up by creating programs that by emotional content rise the acknowledgement of facts. We can encourage audiences but also fellow artists to change their lifestyle at home or on tour by showing that it is possible to combine work, career, a fulfilled private life and sustainability.

Through our concerts and happenings we can collect money for projects that help to fight the catastrophic consequences of climate change already happening in wide areas of the world. We can work together with people facing poverty and loss of democratic structures because of the life circumstances changing to the worse. Let’s not underestimate the power of music, art, friendship and empathy! And let’s not give up hope that in spite of dark and frightening times the fight for nature and a functioning eco system on our beautiful planet is not yet lost- there is still some time left for us all to change things to the better and preserve the amazing world we are allowed to live in!"
