Can climate change be brought to life in music? For centuries, composers have been inspired by weather phenomena in their works. This is also the case with composer Jochen Hartman-Hilter. THE NEXT WORLD tells the story of the (man-made) effects of climate change on our planet's water. Impressive sound images created by the Neue Philharmonie Westfalen reflect the vitality of this element. How can the change of the endless expanse of the untouched oceans to the melting of gigantic arctic ice landscapes be reflected in the sound of an orchestra? Or the warming of the world's oceans? Is there still hope? Together we dare to take a look into the future of a "next world". A highly topical and thrilling concert experience for all generations!
