"Snow and Rain make the Earth fruitful and fertile"

May 20, 2023 8:00 p.m.
Otterberg Abbey Church, Kirchstrasse 3

A spring concert in the abbey church of Otterberg: the string ensemble of the Pfalztheater together with friends

The composers whose works are heard in this concert have one thing in common: they were all great lovers of nature, and especially of flowers! As early as 1750, Georg Friedrich Handel sent a large package with "flowers of exquisite beauty and enchanting rarity" from England to his friend Georg Philipp Telemann, who owned a large garden with 70 different types of flowers just outside Hamburg. Between the musical selections, Johannes Pardall will illuminate the composers' love of nature through selected texts while introducing "Orchester des Wandels", to which the Pfalzphilharmonie and currently 37 other professional orchestras throughout Germany now belong.

Admission at the door: 10 Euros (additional donations are of course always welcome!)
The musicians are donating their time and all proceeds of the concert will go to "Orchester des Wandels e.V."
