Bicycle tour with members of the Saarländisches Staatsorchester

Out the door - into the open air: In this special open-air chamber music concert, you'll get to know the Saarländisches Staatsorchester (Saarland State Orchestra) from a completely different perspective. As part of the "Orchestra of Change" initiative, we'll leave the car at home for a change.

Hopefully with perfect summer weather, we will cycle at a relaxed pace to the Velsen Adventure Mine (approximately 35 km round trip), professionally accompanied by the German Cyclists' Club (ADFC). During the tour, you can learn more about the initiative and chat with the orchestra members or our academic guide, Prof. Dr. Marc Deissenroth-Uhrig, Professor of Renewable Energies at the HTW Saar. Along the way, you'll enjoy a musical snack or two.

At the mine, a brass ensemble from the orchestra and a light snack await you; the entrance fee includes a waffle and a beverage of your choice.

Meeting point is at 3 p.m. on Tbilisser Platz in front of the State Theater, with a return planned for around 8 p.m.

The brass ensemble of the Saarländisches Staatsorchester will perform works by Georges Bizet, Chris Hazell, and others.
