Make Music Tomorrow

How will we make music in the future? Climate change is fundamentally altering the reality of our lives—and it does not stop at the world of music. From instrument making and artist's working conditions to the question of repertoire: the challenges facing current and future generations of cultural creators are manifold.

On June 2, a special concert-dialogue in the Roter Saal will address these questions from a variety of perspectives. A concert performance centered on Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet will first set the stage for the topic.

In the subsequent discussion, meteorologist Dr. Gunther Tiersch brings together voices from various disciplines: psychotherapist Sabine Maur; musician Detlef Grooß (co-founder of Orchester des Wandels); composer Bernhard König (author of the book *Musik und Klima*); and the perspective of music education, represented by HfM Rector Prof. Dr. Valerie Krupp.
