Concert for the forest

Forests have always been an inspiration for great musical works and musical instruments are made from a variety of woods found in the forest! In the form of pictures, narration and music, we embark on a journey through the forest ecosystem in this concert by the Co2 initiative of the Staatsphilharmonie. Silke Lichtenberg, a trained violin maker turned sought-after-speaker on sustainability in musical instrument making, provides insights into this fascinating topic. The forest is brought to life with a musical program featuring a wide variety of instruments and works by Antonín Dvořák, Sofia Gubaidulina, Steve Reich and other composers.
