Climate & Environment Art-Week 2025

May 1, 2025 6:30 p.m.
TABOU, Karlsruhe

Members of the Badische Staatskapelle will perform chamber music works by female composers from the 19th and 20th centuries with an introduction to Orchester des Wandels by Heinrich Gölzenleuchter

Being a female composer wasn't easy in the 19th century. Nevertheless, these women didn't give up and continued composing. Their works reflect their strength, their passion for musical expression and the raising of their voices. Despite their popularity during their lifetimes, these female composers have been somewhat forgotten due to the male-dominated art world.

The ensemble of the Badische Staatskapelle aims to bring these treasures back to light and showcase the diverse facets and sonic palette of these surprisingly modern and romantic works. Prepare to be amazed!
