June 8th is World Oceans Day. As musicians of “Orchester des Wandels”, Tibor Reman and the Tilia Quartet of the Staatskapelle Berlin will bring the “Sand Coast of St. Peter-Ording” project to life with musical excursions to salt marshes, dunes and sandbanks and a final concert in St. Peter’s Church on the historic inner dike. With “KüstenTon” in 2014, the artists combined music and nature experiences and brought the “climate pope” Prof. Schellnhuber to the dike for lectures. Now the partners from environmental associations, science and politics want to make natural coastal protection come alive for a day with music, a film premiere and an extensive range of information, participation and experiences.
